Childs 1940’s English Tea Set

Childs 1940’s English Tea Set
This is a pretty little tea set made in England around 1940 - 1950
Made by Cauldon Potteries Ltd. A Staffordshire pottery
Made under the Name of Corona Tea Set
This little set comes with the original box if wanted
The box itself is not in very good condition
The set consists of ~
Teapot about 3 ½ inches high and 6 ½ inches spout to handle
Creamer 2 inches high and 2 ¼ inches from lip to handle
Open Sugar 1 ½ inches high
2 Cups 1 ¾ inches high
1 cup has a spider hairline – please check the pictures
2 Saucers 4 ½ inches across
2 Plates 4 ½ inches across
There is light crazing to all the pieces – this comes with age
Apart from the one cup with the hairline there is no other damage or restoration
The set was originally purchased from the English Department Store Gamages for 22 shillings and 6d which back in the 40’s and 50’s was a lot of money
A pretty little set all be it with a little flaw but then these are children’s toy pieces and have had little hands playing with it over the last 60 years so not too surprising that you will not find it in mint condition
