  • Item:- Flow Blue & Polychrome Teaware including Teapot
  • Consisting of Teapot, Creamer, Open Sugar/Waste Bowl, 4 Cups & 4 Saucers
  • Maker:- W & B noted as possibly being Wood & Baggaley
  • Pattern:- Japanese – Pattern No.886
  • Date:- c1875
  • Weight:- Over 2Kg
  • Condition:- On the teapot the tip of the spout has been boken off and glued back into place – it is fine for display but would probably need a better repair if you wanted to use it. Everything else has no damage and no restoration.
  • Comments:- Nice to find a set in flow blue and polychrome – and although the teapot has a small issue it is nice  that it has been kept together –as time went on the potters were known to use the waste bowl as a sugar bowl therefore saving on the production – and as sugar often came in what was known as a sugar loaf where you  could cut sugar from it to serve with your tea the large bowls suited this – later we find granulated sugar so the bowls didn’t need to be as large and you find smaller open sugars.

  • Looking at more than one piece, then let’s have a conversation
  • Happy to combine postage when it is safe to do so and it can sometimes be cheaper with a larger box as the cost on larger boxes over 2 kg is on size as opposed to weight
  • Please email or message me with any queries you might have

Items are priced without shipping costs because shipping prices can vary so much depending on weight or box size so it is easier if you message or email me, I can then give an exact cost for shipping and if it is acceptable, I will then send an invoice which can be paid via PayPal or cheque.
