- Comments:- According to Robert Copeland’s Book “Spode &
Copeland Marks” the backstamp on this piece is “Exceedingly rare being known on only one object, a New Shape Broth Bowl decorated with pattern 7027 with crest and monogram in gold. (The border design is B773 in flow blue and traced in gold). The mark is printed in blue and is the only dated tableware mark known to have been used during the partnership. As stated, it is Stone China” - This piece has a different pattern number so would be a second pattern with this rare backstamp.
